Our Vision
The St.Vincent de Paul Society aspires to be recognized as a caring Catholic charity offering a hand up to people in need. We do this by respecting their dignity, sharing our hope, and encouraging them to take control of their own destiny. This is more than social work, more than charity. It's a spiritual calling for its members or volunteers. In ministering to the needy- who may or may not be Catholic. It's all very confidential, so it's never really having a public presence. St.Vincent de Paul Society is part of an International organization which is operational since 1990 in Mar Thoma Sleeha Syro Malabar Cathedral at Chicago providing financial, educational and spiritual support to those in need regardless of background or faith to achieve self-sufficiency. The Society strives to equip individuals experiencing a time of hardship with the materials, education, and confidence needed to establish financial security and self-sufficiency. Depending on their circumstances, individuals may receive financial aid, free food, free clothing or other merchandize or any combination. The Society's long term plan is to provide a variety of programs and services that not only offer aid but support individuals as they strive for self-sufficiency.
