As a lay organization of the Syro-Malabar Catholics in the USA, SMCC plays a major role in the overall activities of our Church. The SMCC Chicago Chapter is blessed to have dedicated and efficient members who are committed to promote spiritual and socio-cultural activities of the Church and the community. The Chapter has successfully conducted many events. The new SMCC Chicago Chapter Office bearers and its activities for 2022-23 periods have been inaugurated by His Excellency Mar Jacob Angadiath on April 3, 2022 at the Syro-Malabar Cathedral Parish Hall. Auxiliary Bishop Mar Joy Alappat and Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Changanacherryl, Mar Thomas Tharayil, were present at the time.
